BRETT LOOPER (Vice President)

I am a sports video production freelancer for various networks and local sports with ESPN, CBS Sports, BTES, Fox Sports etc. I love the outdoors especially around the water. I have 3 wonderful children and 7 awesome grandchildren. I didn't get my 1st Mustang until I turned 50 but have always loved them. Comes from my mother's love for them. She has had 5 different Mustangs as I was growing up. I have 2 Mustangs, my 06' GT "Goose" pictured above and an 87' White Fox Body Convertible "Ice Man" You should know now what my favorite movie is. I really enjoy spending time with my family and the FMC family. Such a wonderful car family.

I was raised in Dacusville. I'm married and have 2 girls that love and enjoy the cars with us. I drove my 83 GLX Convertible in high school in the 90s. My Mom had bought that car new. The 66' was a dream car for my wife. I bought it as a project and built it out of 3 cars. It was a long 5 year project in my spare time in my own shop. We have 3 other classic cars as well. A 1988 XLT full size Bronco, 1979 Triumph TR7 convertible and a 1988 XJS v12 Jaguar Coupe. I co-own a 1991 v12 convertible XJS Jaguar and a 1966 Chevy 2 SS Nova with my parents.

JOSHUA FOWLER (Board Chairman)

I have been a member of FMC since 2017. I am a classic car collector born and raised in Greenville, SC. My all-time favorite is the first generation Mustang. I currently own a 1966 Mustang convertible 289 A code, a 1965 Mustang Coupe with a factory bench seat, 1962 VW Beetle "Herbie" and 2 1995 Jeep Wrangler Rio Grande editions. I am currently a service advisor at Benson Ford in Easley, SC

JOHN CRABTREE (Director & MCA Representative)

The first time I ever saw a Mustang was on the April 1964 cover of Popular Science Magazine. I was a sophomore in high school. There they were, four young people in a convertible with a pretty co-ed in the front seat with her scarf flying in the wind. Oh Man! I fell in love. I need to get one of these. Unfortunately I had no money. Then I went and tested a 1969 Mach 1. Unfortunately, still not enough money. FFFAAASSSTTT forward 43 years to Black Friday, November 23rd, 2012. I saw a beautiful Torch Red 2010 GT Convertible at Volvo of Greenville. Yes, I'm a Volvo guy, too! I called my wife Janet to meet me at VOG. She knew something was up. After a nice lunch at Olive Garden and a lengthy test drive it was all over. We picked up the car on Saturday, the 24th. They say if you don't look back at your car after you park it, you have the wrong car. Ten years later I'm still looking back. Then there was the 2017 Shadow Black GT Coupe we picked up on Memorial Day 2017. I look back at that car, too.

My first Mustang was a black 2007 with the V6 Pony Package. I loved it but it didn’t sound like a Mustang should. After about a year, I took it in for an oil change to the dealer where a bought it. By chance or maybe destiny, sitting there was the same year Mustang GT in the exact same black color. A salesman saw me looking at it and threw me the keys saying, “take it for a ride”.  I did and with the V8 and six-speed manual transmission, it sounded and performed like a Mustang was supposed to. I drove it home much to my wife’s surprise. Well, we’re still married and eight years later I traded it for my current 2015 GT Premium.  I’m still very happy with it. I joined the club around 2020 and enjoy the camaraderie and the events. I have met some very nice people, and they treat me pretty good for a Yankee from New Jersey. I’m retired from State Government and health care and moved to South Carolina in 2018. My wish for the club is to expand membership and continue to support the charitable organizations that we work with.

My wife, Carol, and I joined the club shortly after moving to Simpsonville in 2018. Up until then we were lifelong Pittsburghers. We maintain our membership in the Greater Pittsburgh Mustang Club too having joined it in 2012. The car pictured is the only Mustang either of us have owned, a 2007 “Pony Package” in Windveil Blue. We like being Mustang Club members because of the activities. However, we value the friendships and comradery more than the fast cars. I appreciate the work each member puts in their Mustang(s) while Carol likes to learn about the families. Ask me a question about a member I’ll think of the car, ask Carol and she will know the spouse and children. I worked as a planning and scheduling specialist working on large scale industrial projects. Carol was an administrative assistant (she prefers secretary). Both of us are retired. ..
